EOS AURORA OFFERS SUSTAINABILITY, RELIABILITY AND COST EFFICIENCES

The company’s flagship Eos Aurora™ system is built to perform under extreme temperatures and other challenging conditions. The product is intended to eliminate the need for dedicated heating and cooling systems and thereby lower cost and enhance profitability to meet growing global energy demands.
Eos Znyth™ (Zinc hybrid cathode) battery technology is the core of the Eos Aurora™ product. The proprietary cathode uses widely available materials encased in a robust design to achieve long-life energy storage and economy. EOS reports that its high performance Eos Znyth™ technology is built on 21 patents and patent applications with over 600 claims covering elements including design, cell architecture, materials, battery management and low-cost manufacturing processes. The company plans to go public November 17, 2020 with an IPO.
Founded in 2008, EOC is headquartered in Edison, New Jersey with its manufacturing plant in Pittsburgh, PA. Plans for additional facilities are underway in Turkey, Italy and India. The company was launched when carbon was the go-to energy source despite deficiencies in reliability and cost. According to an EOS spokesperson, the company saw opportunity and embarked on a mission to introduce reliable and cost-competitive systems with the goal of accelerating and scaling transition to clean energy.

In creating EOS Aurora™, the company partnered with Engineered Component Systems, a global design/manufacturer and supplier of parts for a wide range of industries. According to ECS President Mark Whitcomb, ECS is currently providing critical mechanical components and electrical assemblies for EOS battery systems. He adds, “The EOS Aurora™ system is a gamechanger. I’m happy to see how well it performs and how EOS is expanding market reach.”
